RE: Rest In Awesome, Esther.

On Wednesday 25th August 2010, 16 year old inspiration Esther Earl, sadly passed away.

Esther had cancer, and was taken from us due to metastasized papillary thyroid cancer.

She will be greatly missed, and her memory will forever live on in Nerdfighteria history.

But this blog isn't to mourn her death - it is to celebrate her life.

With Esther, the Nerdfighter community came together and helped win the Harry Potter Alliance $250,000.
With Esther, Nerdfighteria are continuing to commit to projects that'll decrease world suck.

I didn't know Esther, and though I wish I did, I know a lot of people were lucky enough to meet her, and be personally inspired.
She led a wonderful, energetic, curious life, and was beyond intelligent and independent.

You might think that her cancer put her down, and stopped her life as soon as she was diagosed, although her death was 4 years later - However, those he knew her and knew of her knew that she carried her life on as before, and she didn't let anything get her down. In this sense, she was a true Nerdfighter who never forgot to be awesome.

Esther means 'star'. And we won't let this star go out. This star won't go out.

If we were all a little like Esther, our lives would be better. There would never be a dull day, because we'd never forget to be awesome.
